Warning society warns online traders of electrical equipment

Failure to comply with labelling and information requirements constitutes grounds for an admonition in writing and should therefore be avoided. For instance, a competition association is currently issuing warnings to retailers of electrical goods in this field.

As reported by Onlinehändler News, retailers of electrical appliances must also comply with the regulations for the sale of electrical equipment in addition to the general regulations. In addition to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), which governs the obligations for return and disposal, for instance, the Energy Consumption Labelling Regulation (EnVKV) must also be taken into account. Among other things, this regulation states that the energy efficiency class of the product model must be indicated in the advertising of electrical appliances.
