EU Packaging Regulation Corrigendum

The PPWR text, which has been legally and linguistically checked in all official languages, is to be presented on 13 and 14 November. If no political group or one twentieth of MEPs call for a vote within 24 hours, the text is deemed to have been adopted.

Euwid Verpackung informs that the corrigendum to the EU Packaging Regulation (PPWR) will be presented to the European Parliament in mid-November. The PPWR text from April, which has been legally and linguistically checked and corrected in all official languages, is to be presented at the plenary session on 13 and 14 November (take-e-way reported: EU Packaging Regulation adopted). If no political group or one twentieth of MEPs call for a vote within 24 hours, the amendment is deemed to have been adopted. The Council of Member States must then give its approval before the Packaging Regulation is published in the Official Journal of the EU. It enters into force 20 days after publication, with application commencing after 18 months, with different transitional periods for selected provisions.
