1000 foreign packaging producers registered in Austria

The new Austrian Packaging Ordinance has been in force since 1 January 2023. You cannot submit a declaration for 2024 without a registered authorised representative. Please note that this means that the goods you deliver to your Austrian customers are not fulfilling the legal obligations.

The new Austrian Packaging Ordinance has been in force since 1 January 2023. For all deliveries to private end-users, an authorised representative must be appointed by foreign sellers not based in Austria. For deliveries to retailers in Austria, pre-licensed imports can be made with an authorised representative based in Austria, but only for companies based within the EU. The regulation has been in force since 1 January 2023. get-e-right Austria GmbH was founded last year in order to guarantee legally compliant sales for our customers.

As the Austrian authorities only release official registrations on a quarterly basis, it was only this month that the 1000-producer mark could be successfully exceeded. By reaching this proud mark, get-e-right Austria GmbH has become one of the most prominent authorised representatives of the Austrian waste management industry.

You cannot submit a declaration for 2024 without a registered authorised representative. Please note that this means that the goods that you supply to your Austrian customers are not fulfilling the legal obligations. If there is an additional need for subsequent licensing for 2023, please contact our Consulting Department the end of this quarter.
