Invitation to the 3rd Panel Discussion “WEEE 2 & ElektroG 2” of VERE e.V. and take-e-way

On Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 our 3rd panel discussion will take place in the “Alte Versteigerungshalle” in the Marktstraße 10 in 50968 Cologne

Dear VERE members and take-e-way customers,
dear supporters and friends of our association,

Firstly we would like to wish you a happy, successful and in particular healthy new year 2014 with lots of nice experiences.

With the revision of the WEEE directive and the related changes of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) new obligations are required – not only for manufacturers of electrical and electronic devices.

In particular the obligation to take back for the retail trade as well as the obligation to register for manufacturers of photovoltaic modules raises questions how this may be guaranteed in practice without unreasonable burdens for the concerned companies. Also with the revision of the WEEE directive aligned with the individual national implementations the necessity of a Europe-wide processing will become more relevant.

The ordinance on the restriction of the use of certain hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment (ElektroStoffV) which came into force in May last year and the related extended requirements in an EU declaration of conformity is raising numerous questions with the concerned manufacturers, importers and distributors of electrical and electronic devices up to now.

On Thursday, April 3rd, 2014 our 3rd panel discussion will take place in the “Alte Versteigerungshalle” in the Marktstraße 10 in 50968 Cologne (Raderberg)/Germany in order to clarify all questions regarding these novelties. This event will be hold in German language.

We were able to win renowned top executives of politics and commerce for you as referees. Thus for instance of the German Federal Ministry of Environment, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and of the Foundation EAR, of the Bureau Veritas as well as other referees who will competently speak for concerned groups.

In the focus of the event it should be approached in an order so that you would gain the necessary knowledge for your daily practice.

We have reserved 150 places for you. For our customers and/or members the participation is free of charge.

According to our experience a lot of our members/customers would like to take the opportunity to discuss their problems with the corresponding authorities and instances, the available places will be rapidly reserved.

Therefore we would like to ask you to send your registration immediately to info@vereev.de in order that we won't be embarrassed to cancel the participation of our customers/members due to overcrowding.

We will send you the detailed agenda in the next few weeks.

Looking forward to hear from you we remain

With kind regards

Jochen Stepp & Oliver Friedrichs (Board)
Christoph Brellinger (Executive Secretary)
