The harmfulness of LED light with regard to its UV content is frequently misjudged. While there are measured values that classify LED light sources into hazard classes in accordance with the EN 62471 standard, what ultimately is decisive is the use to which the LED lamp is subsequently used. A risk analysis is helpful in this regard. This can assess the actual risk for the user and may avoid unnecessary costs.
