GPSR information required in all languages

Product information must be provided in the languages of the countries in which the products are sold. There are currently 24 official EU languages.

The new General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR), which will apply from 13 December 2024 (trade-e-bility reported: Amazon demands GPSR fulfilment), introduces stricter safety and language requirements for products sold on the European market. As online seller news reports, product information must be provided in the languages of the countries in which the products are sold. There are currently 24 official EU languages. This affects online sellers in particular, who must ensure the correct translation and provision of the relevant documentation in order to avoid warnings. Do you have problems with GPSR?

Some online marketplaces limit their requirement for warnings and safety instructions not only to products that are subject to the general product safety regulation (GPSR), but also request them for products that are subject to special harmonisation legislation (e.g. CE). Here, too, trade-e-bility can provide support.

If you have any questions about GPSR, CE and other product compliance requirements, please contact the trade-e-bility consulting team at +49/40/750687-300 or beratung@trade-e-bility.de.
