New registration obligation for packaging in Spain

The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

EU Packaging Regulation vote postponed

Instead of September as previously planned, the vote is now scheduled to take place in the fourth week of October according to the current status.

As Euwid reports, the vote in the EU Parliament's Environment Committee on the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) was postponed due to the large number of motions for amendments. Instead of taking place in September as previously planned, it is now scheduled to be held in the fourth week of October, according to the current status.
