New registration obligation for packaging in Spain

The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act: Is an adjustment to your publishing information necessary?

As reported by the German IT law firm “IT-Recht-Kanzlei”, an important link has changed due to a restructuring of a governmental website. The discontinued functionality of the previously valid link to the take-back statistics may call for an adjustment to be made to your publishing information.

In October 2020, take-e-way reported that manufacturers are required to publish the status of compliance with the quantitative targets according to Section 10 (3) and Section 22 (1) of the German Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG) annually.

In order to fulfil these information duties as a take-e-way customer, you only need to include the note “Information obligations pursuant to Section 18 (2) of the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act.” in your publishing information of your website and link it to the following take-e-way page:
