New EAR fees from August 2025

The new ElektroG-BattG fee ordinance will only come into force with the upcoming amendment in the battery sector from August 2025.

The EAR Foundation (German WEEE & battery registration board) has announced that the EAR fees will remain constant for the time being. The new ElektroG-BattG fee schedule will only come into force with the upcoming amendment in the battery sector from August 2025. Unlike in previous years, there will be no new fee schedule at the beginning of the 2025 calendar year.

The year 2025 will bring numerous changes for battery and electrical equipment producers subject to registration. In his presentation New regulations for the registration of electrical and electronic equipment and batteries (ElektroG, BattG, BattDG-E, BattVO) on 19 November 2024 at the East Hotel in Hamburg/Germany, EAR Board Alexander Goldberg will explain the main changes and challenges involved.
