On 28 April 2022, our free live webinar was held on on “Labelling requirements for proper disposal in the EU”. 85 participants and a large number of questions indicate that the correct labelling of products and packaging is a major problem for numerous manufacturers and distributors. The pressure on online marketplaces to conduct additional market monitoring practically in parallel with public authorities is being passed on to dealers – for example, via the Packaging Act as of 1 July 2022.
This topic by far does not only concern the labelling of products and packaging, but also compliant information in the online store and in the instructions for use, e.g., CLP labelling, ecodesign labelling, energy efficiency label, CE mark, WEEE logo, manufacturer information, UN 38.3 Labelling of batteries or the disposal labels discussed in the webinar (e.g., Triman).
