Authorised representative for packaging in Spain

Wholesalers from abroad are also obliged to register in the Spanish producer`s register via an authorised representative if they sell packaged products to distributors in Spain.

On 28 December 2022, the new packaging act was published in the Spanish Official Gazette. We already informed about it.

With an interpretation, the responsible ministry has now published who has the primary obligation to register as a producer of packaged products.

Thus, wholesalers from abroad are also obliged to register in the Spanish producer`s register via an authorised representative if they sell packaged products to distributors in Spain.

If you would like to find out more about the primary obligated parties, you are welcome to read the complete interpretation.
