Amazon establishes Product Compliance Team

Amazon is massively expanding staff in EPR (extended producer responsibility) and product compliance. We are available to answer your questions in order to avoid forfeiture of sales authorisation in case of lack of product safety.

As can be seen from recent job postings, Amazon is currently expanding staff massively in such fields as EPR (extended producer responsibility) and product compliance.

For instance, Amazon Web Services (AWS) is currently looking for Compliance Program Managers, Global Trade and Product Compliance (Status as of: 27 April 2022). Global Trade and Product Compliance (GTPC) is responsible for ensuring that infrastructure equipment required to support AWS services is imported/exported in a compliant manner in the various countries, including all product certification / safety regulations.

Amazon is also seeking Program Managers, Extended Producer Responsibility for the WW Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) team for Amazon Retail WW. This position falls under the umbrella organisation of PARS: Product Assurance Risk and Safety. The Program Manager works cross-functionally with internal Amazon teams and government agencies to expand and enhance programs to meet environmental requirements in multiple jurisdictions.

As trade-e-bility has already reported, products you offer on Amazon must comply with all applicable policies of Amazon and with all prevailing legislation and regulations. This enables you to prevent your offers from being blocked or even from having your selling authorisation revoked. In view of the increase in staff in this field, it is to be expected that product compliance and EPR will become even more significant for the online marketplace in the future.

trade-e-bility offers you an all-in package (EU/UK) to establish your marketability for Amazon sales. If you have any questions, please call us at +49/40/75068730-0 or send an e-mail to beratung@trade-e-bility.de.
