3,000 members in the VERE Association

The Association for the Return and Recycling of electric and electronic Devices (VERE e.V.) welcomes its 3,000th member in the 10th year of its existence.

The VERE Association for the take-back and recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment (VERE e.V. registered association) welcomes its 3,000th member in the 10th year of its existence.

It might seem construed, but this is the reality: On St. Nicholas' Day, the VERE Association welcomed its 3,000th member.

Unlimited development of the number of members

The further unlimited development shows the needs of the small and medium sized companies (SMEs) to have their interests represented unlimitedly by the influences of groups on the political level.

Political voice for small and medium sized companies

The VERE Association was founded in 2003 and since then it is acting as political voice of the take-e-way GmbH, which is fighting for a fair implementation of the legal product responsibility at the regional and federal authorities in Germany as well as at EU level.

Ways out from the jungle of legislation

Jochen Stepp, board of the VERE Association: “New laws and regulations are constantly passed which are sometimes contradicting. Even the responsible authorities do not oversee the difficulties in legislation, in which the legislator involves small and medium sized companies. Our association considers as its responsibility to find pragmatic solutions together with the authorities on behalf of our concerned small and medium sized companies.”

Striving for more relief for small and medium sized companies

Additional results of the work of the VERE Association are the reduction of administration costs, deadline extensions, free of charge consultations by competent lawyers, framework contracts as well as obtaining administration simplifications.

Environmental protection in defiance of “large companies”

Another example is that the VERE Association vehemently promotes that environmentally friendly LED lamps are no longer collected and disposed of together with gas discharge lamps which contain mercury, thus resulting in a mixture of dangerous and non-dangerous waste as well as in a considerable increase of the cost for LED lamps.

We are hoping that in the future even more small and medium sized companies will use the versatile advantages of the VERE Association in order to have their problems represented at all levels – even towards authorities and political parties – and to find solutions.
