New registration obligation for packaging in Spain

The Spanish packaging law obliges producers to register their packaging. Distributors from abroad must also register through an authorised representative if they sell packaged products in Spain.

Austria: Authorised representative for packaging is mandatory

Both companies based in the EU that continue taking over the responsibility for their customers in the B2B sector and foreign distance sellers in the B2C sector (e.g. sales to consumers via a web shop) must appoint an authorised representative based in Austria from 1st January 2023.
